About EastEpoch

EastEpoch is a project about traditional Chinese culture, written for people who did not grow up with it.

We cover the things that shape everyday life in China — the festival calendar and its solar terms, the philosophical ideas behind them, and the crafts that have survived centuries.

Each story is written in English, with the original Chinese terms kept alongside so you can follow the thread further.
